Study program: Anglistics – 240 ECTS
Studies were established with the aim to provide quality knowledge of the English language, Anglo-American culture and literature, as well as the methodological and pedagogical sciences necessary for teaching.
Type of study: First cycle studies, four-year
The outcome of the process of learning: Students develop skills in the areas of English, critical thinking, and training as professional translators and/or teaching.
After the four-year degree program, the title of Professor of English Language and Literature is awarded.
Conditions for admission to the program are defined in the appropriate articles of the Statute of the University.
Attachment 1 contains a list of mandatory and elective study areas or subjects (curriculum).
Attachment 1 defines the method of the study and the time required to perform
certain forms of studies (curriculum).
Curriculum, defined as the points for all the objects.
Number of hours for each subject is presented in a separate column in the curriculum.
The aforementioned criteria and conditions defined by the Law and general acts of the University.
Anglistics study program is congruent with the Anglistics study programs in the University of East Sarajevo, Banja Luka University, and the University of Belgrade.
Prerequisites are placed in the order by Semester in Attachment 1 (curriculum). It is governed by the relevant articles of the Statute relating to the mode of study and specific decisions of the competent authorities.
The curriculum defines the electives subjects that can be chosen from each faculty/academy, whereby it should comply with the required weekly number of hours.
The criteria and the method of quality assurance is carried out in accordance with the general acts of the University.
The aforementioned criteria and conditions are defined by the Law and General Acts of the University.
Students’ responsibilities and dynamics of the studies are defined by the Law and General Acts of the University.
Professional, academic, scientific names, shall be adjusted according to the Regulations on the use of titles, obtaining of scientific and professional titles under Article 7. Paragraph 5. of the Law on Higher Education.

NAME OF THE COURSE AND THE GOALS OF THE STUDY PROGRAM

Anglistics studies aim to offer knowledge of quality in the areaof the english language, the anglo-american culture and literature as well as the methodical and pedagogical sciences necessary for the domain of teaching
Type of study: First cycle studies (3 years)
The result of learning: Students develop skills in the area of anglistics, the ability to analyze and are equipped for teaching
After the completion of the three year study course a student is given the title professor of the English language and literature
These terms are defined according to the given articles of the university’s statute.
Attachment 1 consists of the list of compulsory and elective areas, i.e. courses.
Attachment1 defines the organization of the study area and the time necessary for the realization the study programs. (curriculum)
The curriculum defines the number of points for each course. (credits)
The number of classes is given in each section of the study program
The mentioned criteria and the conditions are defined by the Law and general Acts of the University
The Anglistics study program corresponds with that study programs of the East Sarajevo University, the University of Banja Luka and the University of Belgrade
The terms are given in the sequence of courses according to semesters in the attacment 1( curriculum). In addition, this is regulated according to articlesof the Statute refering to the system of the studies and the authorites’ decsion making.
The curriculum states all the study courses that can be chosen on each faculty/academy. The weekly number of classes must be taken into consideration.
The general act of the University defines the criteria and ensures it.
The given criteria is defined by the Law and the Genaral Acts of the University
